Edge Perfect Blade

Just ordered the 'Edge Perfect Blade' rotary blade from Nancy's Notions.  I make lap quilts and blankets for one of the chemo treatment rooms in Portland.  One simple blanket is two nice pieces of fleece with a crocheted edge binding them together.  I'm hoping this blade solves the problem of poking the holes in the  fleece to crochet through.  I haven't tried it yet but am so excited to get it.  Will post photo's of the process and one of the finished products.

Here's what it's touted to do (oh, and the groovy thing is, it's supposed to fit all brands of rotary cutters):

  • The Edge Perfect Blade cuts perfectly spaced perforations and makes hand finishing on fleece, felt, sweatering and other non-woven fabrics quick and easy
  • Decorative yarns easily slip though the perforations without tugging or resorting to a pliers to pull the needle through fleece, felt and other sturdy fabrics
  • Hand stitches such as whip or blanket stitch are perfectly spaced, eliminating the need for marking and pre-punching holes with an awl or punch
